Quotes

The aim of education should be to teach us rather how to think, than what to think – rather to improve our minds, so as to enable us to think for ourselves, than to load the memory with thoughts of other men.

Are charter schools public schools?

Yes. The current school act states that charter schools are public schools. We are funded the same way that all other public schools are funded and we are accountable in the same ways that other public schools are accountable (and, in fact, have more accountability than other public schools because of the need to re-submit a charter application every 5 years and undergo a comprehensive school evaluation once per charter).
